We have a vacancy in our North Sydney office for a Software Engineer with 9Now Engineering.

The CTV (Connected TV) team is an agile software development team with the core responsibility of building out Nine’s suite of applications that run on multiple devices, including smart TVs and gaming consoles. We are passionate about bringing an amazing ‘living room experience’ to our audience and work closely with product and user experience teams to deliver high-quality software. We are highly collaborative and open with a strong focus on mentorship, innovation and inclusivity.

Reporting to the CTV Engineering Manager, you will collaborate with other engineers and cross-functional teams to plan, design, develop and test CTV solutions. Our technology stack is predominantly web-based, particularly utilizing React and React Native but you should be willing to deep dive into other areas including Android TV, TvOS and Continuous Integration.

Essential experience and skills:

• Hands-on experience with Node.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL.
• React or equivalent front-end framework
• Modern web development tools, like Webpack, Gulp, Babel etc.
• Git
• Continuous Integration
• Agile software practices
• Unit testing and Test Driven Development
• Test Automation
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Nice to have:

• AWS or equivalent cloud infrastructure.
• React Native
• Android or iOS Development
