Hiring a Nodejs developer to work with AWS tools building services that scale to large
audiences. As a Media Application Developer at 9, you will have the opportunity to build
server-side media solutions on top of AWS’ cloud services (EC2, BeanStalk, CloudFront,
Lambda, DynamoDB, etc.).
Looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about large scale video ecosystems and
cares about code quality, uptime, performance, continuous deployment, design principles,
and test-driven development.

You will be implementing cutting edge features from the ground up that allow 9 to stay on
top of the latest in streaming technologies in a rapidly changing industry. You will be
working in the Video team responsible for overseeing video processing and publishing
workflows. The Video team focuses on building and maintaining video encoding platforms
for on-demand and live streaming workflows along with corresponding integrations with
CMS and publishing pipelines.

Recent coding experience in Node.js, ES6 server-side development

• Experience working with Cloud Services (ideally AWS)
• Serverless compute platforms and development patterns
• Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc.) will be a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• experience in the telco, media, and entertainment sector
• experience in implementing video use cases leveraging AWS services and multi vendor environment technologies
• Knowledge of video packaging and delivery mechanisms such as HLS, DASH, CMAF, RTMP, UDP and Knowledge of Content delivery networks will be a plus exposure to Ad-tech SSAI, BrightCove platforms a plus
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools/process and with writing Infrastructure as code (IaC) a plus
• Exposure to Docker or Kubernetes a plus
