Description Of Duties

• Contributes to the underlying codebase for nintendo.com, working on interface updates as well as page level updates for Nintendo’s product marketing web sites and pages
• Fixes bugs in own work as well as bugs found in other parts of the codebase
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of new front-end web development technologies and applies them to enhance the usability and efficiency of the codebase and end-product
• Follows coding standards, documented guidelines, and best practices
• Participate in design brainstorming sessions, technical design reviews, formal code reviews, Site Q/A, and functional walkthroughs
• Works with more senior developers to gain feedback and guidance

Summary Of Requirements

• 0-3 years’ experience with front-end web development
• Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
• Experience with client-side technologies and frameworks; React components and state management, animation, Node and NPM based projects and development environments
• Experience in interaction design, usability, and information architecture
• Ability to identify and quickly fix browser and desktop/mobile compatibility issues
• Knowledge and experience with standard design software including Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
• Experience with server-side rendering a huge plus
• Understanding of site performance, web analytics, and SEO techniques
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Strong passion for creating a great user experience
• Self-motivated, highly creative problem solver
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Design Technology degree, or equivalent training program or experience
• Formal training in standard web programming languages

This CONTRACT position has a base pay range of $32 – $44 per hour and is eligible for benefits through the employing agency. Agency benefits may include medical, dental and vision, 401(k), basic/supplemental life and AD&D insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, health and dependent care spending accounts, transportation benefits, employee assistance program, paid sick leave, and up to 6 paid holidays per year. All benefits are subject to elections, eligibility requirements, plan, and program terms. Benefits offerings will be confirmed at the time of offer by the employing agency and may differ depending on the employing agency partner.

This position is hybrid/onsite in Redmond, WA and not open to fully remote at this time.
