Position: Senior Business Analyst Location: Tonawanda, NY (position is Hybrid, but candidate must live in a commutable distance to the office) Compensation: 75-80K What We Are Looking For We’re seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst who can work collaboratively with NOCO business line partners to define and document business requirements for software development and enhancement projects. The Senior BA will also work on selected process improvement initiatives and IT related projects. In this role, you are responsible for capturing, documenting, and gaining approval for business line requirements. The ideal candidate has strong facilitation and elicitation skills, is solutions and detail oriented and skilled at capturing and documenting requirements. They should have extensive knowledge and experience with Project Management, Business Relationship Management, Business Requirements Management, and software quality processes. Experience with both waterfall and agile methodologies is preferred. What You Will Do Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. – Partner with various business line representatives to document and manage requirements.- Develop detailed business requirements/enhancements for business applications using a variety of techniques including interviews, document analysis, workshops, observation and measurements, and surveys to produce project deliverables- Work collaboratively with business customers and solution providers to objectively analyze tradeoffs between usability, cost, and performance needs.- Build and maintain a strong working relationship with business managers and associates. These relationships should develop into a healthy ‘give and take’ relationship in which the BA is comfortable and confident in making suggestions and recommendations in line with the specific project or initiative.- Communicate effectively with partners, peers in a timely and appropriate manner, proactively escalating concerns, issues, or risk that may impact delivery of the desired result.- Provide guidance to the business to ensure work is continually aligned with the goals and objectives of the project and the company.- Work closely with the Project Managers to ensure adherence to scope, project timelines and best practices.- Assist with coordinating and facilitating User Acceptance Testing of software solutions.- Lead by example through appropriate leadership, participation, and partnership with the business and Project Mangers on assigned projects and activities.
