Northeastern Bus Rebuilders is actively seeking Administrative Assistant to join the team in Ronkonkoma, NY.

Hours/Schedule: Full-time opportunity, Monday-Friday (8am – 5pm)

Work environment: In-office

With transit service centers located in New York and Boston, as well as our national presence covering warranty and campaigns, our expertise includes transit bus overhaul, maintenance and warranty support for regional and municipal transit agencies.

What we Offer:

• Salary: $45,000 – $65,000 / year

What you’ll do:

• Answer and direct phone calls
• Direct estimates and billing to clients in Quick books
• Organize and schedule appointments
• Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
• Assist CFO in the preparation of regularly scheduled accounting reports
• Develop and maintain a filing system
• Update and maintain office policies and procedures
• Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers
• Book travel arrangements

Our ideal candidate:

• Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistant
• Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
• Quickbooks proficient
• Knowledge of ADP Payroll service preferred
• Previous bookkeeping/accounting experience a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
