Northeastern Retail Lumber Association is looking for enthusiastic, hardworking freelance writers to join our team. Ideal candidates have experience in writing content for print or the web with a focus on women’s lifestyle content, including beauty, fashion, wellness, and relationships. We are looking for creative individuals who are self-sufficient and versatile.

Lifestyle Feature Writer Responsibilities:

• Lifestyle Feature Writer creates compelling, human-centric stories that engage audiences and drive awareness, understanding and drive behavior change.
• Claim feature article topics from a large selection of assignments
• Contribute to and follow the guidelines of our style guide, editorial strategy and publishing standards to uphold quality of content
• Develop human-centric copy that makes complex concepts and strategies easy to understand
• Understand the case study personalities and write copy that gets attention and drives action
• Push the limits of storytelling and have an eye for design

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities for Lifestyle Feature Writer:

• Experience with moderating online communities preferred.
• Must possess good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new concepts, internet tools and applications.
• Ability to write engaging stories.
• Ability to work well within a team structure and work remotely as necessary.
• Must possess an understanding and enthusiasm for NRLA audience.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED
Proven track record of ideating and writing advertising campaigns uniquely targeted towards
Experience writing audience-facing content for organic, paid social, websites, mobile applications, and paid digital media
Proven ability to plan and strategize high-profile projects
Experience in social and digital campaigns/ engagement tactics

Salary is $10 – $54 Per Hour
