Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems is seeking an Associate Radar Cross Section (RCS) Test Engineer/Radar Cross Section (RCS) Test Engineer to become an instrumental part of their Radar Cross Section (RCS) Test Engineering Team at its Linthicum, MD campus.
This RCS Test Engineering role is within a lab environment and includes the design, planning and execution of Radar Cross Section (RCS) / Low Observable (LO) testing for individual programs. The test engineer has the responsibility for test planning, configuration of the test, model preparation, data collection and post-processing, as well as holding data reviews with program engineers. The role will include frequent use of hand tools, overhead cranes, and mobile elevated working platforms, as well as standard lab and facility upkeep.
The selected individual must be willing to work in a laboratory environment as a Range Test Engineer full time. On the job training is anticipated and will be required.

Provide Antenna Test Engineering support for Radar Cross Section (RCS) test facilities
Low Observable (LO) test article configuration, mounting and testing
Troubleshooting radar system and data analysis issues during test
Support technicians with troubleshooting and training

This position may be filled as either an Associate Radar Cross Section (RCS) Test Engineer or a Radar Cross Section (RCS) Test Engineer.
Basic Qualifications for an Assoicate Radar Cross Section (RCS) Test Engineer:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Science or related STEM discipline plus 0 years of experience
RF test experience and/or Antenna range operator experience
Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing 50 pounds
Must be willing to operate overhead cranes and mobile elevated working platforms on a routine basis
A ctive Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications for both levels:
Experience working in an RCS test facility
Experience configuring and mounting products in an RCS test facility
Experience in the use of overhead cranes and mobile elevated working platforms
Experience in the use of hand tools
Experience maintaining an antenna range facility
Working knowledge of computational electromagnetic software and analysis techniques
Software development experience pertaining to radar cross section analysis

Salary Range: $68,800 – $103,200
Salary Range 2: $83,300 – $124,900
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
