Northrop Grumman Global Operations Security is seeking a Cybersecurity Support Technician to assist the Information System Security Team with classified cybersecurity .
Responsibilities may include but not be limited to the following:
Perform hardware/software inventory actions of all assigned accountable classified assets.
Perform actions associated with introduction and release of hardware into/out of the restricted spaces.
May assist in administrative actions to maintain a configuration management baseline, to include processing entrance / exit forms, assisting with the execution of a configuration control board, and other tasks associated with maintaining a hardware and software baseline.
Perform system auditing using various security auditing tools according to published procedures. Record, maintain, and update records in the continuous monitoring system; assist the Information System Security Officer/Manager with analysis of anomalies, and work with System Administrators to resolve problems and issues.
Perform file transfers across various security domains in accordance with published Assured File Transfer procedures.
Support the continuous monitoring of information systems by performing administrative tasks related to the testing of technical controls applied to the system. This may include administrative tests of security controls, collecting and reporting test results, and monitoring corrective actions until all actions are closed.
Maintain accurate internal records.
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet these knowledge, skills, and abilities:
High School diploma and 5 years of IT/Cyber related experience; OR an Associates degree and 3 years of IT/Cyber related experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of IT/Cyber related experience is required
Must have experience with Microsoft Office
Must have the ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAM level I (or higher) security certification (examples: Security+ CE) within 6 months start date
Must have a current DOD Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) to include a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years OR must be enrolled in the DOD Continuous Evaluation Program (CEP) in order to be considered
Must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Associates degree and 4 years of experience with IT and Cyber related hardware in a classified environment
Current DoD 8570 IAM Level 1 certification (Security+ CE)
Current DOD Secret level security clearance
Salary Range: $56,600 USD – $94,300 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
