Northrop Grumman’s Corporate office is hiring a Corporate Supplier Quality Director to join our team. This position will report to Corporate Quality Director in the Global Operations office and will have significant interface with the Enterprise. This leadership opportunity will be located at a major NG site.

Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of solving complex problems through systematic and objective evaluation of information resulting in effective communication, championing, and implementation of change with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders and customers. The selected candidate will have excellent collaboration and communication skills and the ability to prepare and present to Customers and executive leadership teams.
This Leader is responsible for collaborating with enterprise stakeholders from the Quality Center of Excellence (QCoE) and Supply Chain Leadership Council (SCLC) to drive consistency and clarity in supplier quality across the company. This includes assessing the effectiveness of the corporation’s supplier quality program, including the identification and implementation of enterprise-level improvements companywide.
In this role you will lead the development and implementation of a cohesive approach to assess supplier health, qualify suppliers, measure supplier performance, manage multi-tier supply base risk and share supplier quality information internally in cooperation with the Enterprise Global Supply Chain Team.
This leadership opportunity will be located at a major NG site therefore the qualified candidate may be located within the continental United States near an existing Northrop Grumman facility.
Primary Responsibilities of this role are:
Oversight and enforcement of Company level prop CTM Q102; authors appropriate updates and actions required.
Stand up and formalization of an Enterprise Supplier Quality CoE as substructure to the Quality Center of excellence (QCOE). Responsible to lead the development of Supplier Quality / Performance Management Strategies and priorities across the enterprise.
Drives Conops of all supplier quality related meetings and actions relative to supplier flown Rqmts and overall Supplier Quality Compliance
Enterprise focal point for the Company’s Counterfeit Prevention and Initiatives programs
Stand up an inaugural Enterprise Material Authenticity Review Board and drive proactive actions/decisions across the sectors to reduce QMS counterfeit risks.
Stand up an inaugural Enterprise Sentinel Industry Alert Board; drive External Supplier Risk mitigation; lead though evaluation of current and future processes and tool requirements.
Drives evaluation and alignment of Supplier Quality processes, tools and Metrics that align to Enterprise Global Supply Chain and DT Vision and objectives.
Responsible for stand up of Corporate Supplier Quality data visualization dashboards with integration to existing Sector compliance dashboard platforms; sets strategy for battle rhythm of reviews and KPI reporting in coordination with Corporate Mission Assurance Leader.
Supports the Corporate Director of Quality and Mission Assurance with Corporate Quality compliance dashboards on internal and external QMS compliance and requirements in support of Supplier Performance improvements and Key Supplier Performance Management Metrics and mitigation actions (e.g., SAMS and SCARS) as visible on the Global Operations Metric dashboard (and other Portfolio metric tools)
Support and oversight of Companywide Enterprise Global Supply chain pilots focused on Supplier Flow down Requirements
Provides guidance, support and subjective matter expertise for the effective execution and management of special supplier quality clauses in contracts across our programs.
Sponsors enterprise recurring and non-recurring projects related to counterfeit parts awareness, supplier ratings, and supplier assessments. Drives internal and external benchmarking as required on supplier quality related initiatives.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 9+ years of relevant experience OR a master’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience OR an Associate’s degree with 11+ years of relevant experience OR High School diploma with 13+ years of relevant experience
Minimum of five (5) + years of leadership experience and leadership of direct report structures
Experience with Quality Management Systems and identifying critical quality metrics.
Experience in Supplier Quality / Supplier Performance Management
Experience in leading independent assessments, Supplier quality assessments/audits, and program gate reviews as it pertains to Supplier related activities.
Experience with problem solving techniques and strategies to determine Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA).
Experience working in Supply Chain functions and visibility analytics associated to Supplier related KPIs.
Experience with Regulatory agencies and external industry forums focused on Cyber and Material Authenticity
Other applicable experiences in disciplines such as mission assurance, quality, program management, engineering, and/or manufacturing.
Experience indicative of IPT leadership or direct-line management (basis of estimate methods, development program/project schedules).
Demonstrated ability to apply strong analytical skills and Lean Agile methodologies.
Strong leadership, assertiveness, facilitation, and communication skills.
A current DoD Secret level security clearance (or higher).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with specifications / standards including AS9100, AS5553, DFARs 252.246-7007, and related Material Authenticity requirements.
SAP, Ariba, and SAMS related experience.
Experience with GIDEP/Sentinel monitoring.
Demonstrated understanding of program/product lifecycles at various stages (capture, proposal, design, program of record, and supply chain management).
This position reports to Falls Church, VA, USA, however, you are able to work from any of the additional 10 locations listed above.
Salary Range: $160,400 USD – $278,600 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
