Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to provide technical support to our Promontory Utah Maintenance team.
Role description & Responsibilities:
This Maintenance Crafts position will be responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment at our facility. Equipment includes but is not limited to: cranes, hoists, autoclaves, induction furnaces, cooling towers, generators, vacuum pumps, centrifugal pumps, valves, piping systems, high pressure compressor(s), etc. Candidates with experience in other mechanical disciplines such as metal fabrication, welding, plumbing and pipefitting are preferred.
The schedule for this position will be 4-10s Monday – Thursday. Overtime may be required. The successful candidate must pass a background check for the Federal Safe Explosives Act (SEA).
Minimum Requirements:
• 2 plus years, recent, work experience in the millwright field.
• Knowledge and experience with reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.
• Knowledge and experience diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing precision tooling and processing equipment.
• Must be able to ascend and descend 20+ foot ladders into pits where equipment is located.
Preferred:
• Experience with mechanical processes.
• Experience with plumbing and pipefitting.
• Experience with overhead cranes.

• Demonstrates initiative and ambition to become proficient in all job duties
• Able to work to performance standards with little or no supervision

Education/Certifications:
• High School Diploma or GED.
Salary Range: $44,800 USD – $74,600 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
