We have an opening for a Software Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Tactical Space organization. The primary location for this role is in Gilbert, AZ . Some after-hours support may be required.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Learn the customer and mission needs and apply that knowledge to debugging/resolving Ground Software issues
Troubleshoot satellite command and control software that utilizes service-oriented architectures, message bus-based data exchanges that include first-of-a-kind capabilities
Collaborate with product owners, users, and other software developers
Provide software support during critical mission operations, such as spacecraft launches, ground software anomalies, and Rendezvous Proximity Operations
Configure new systems for space programs, including installations and upgrades of Ground Software
To be successful you should be:
Knowledgeable about Spacecraft Command and Control concepts including:
Satellite telemetry streams
Manual and automated or script-based commanding
Interfaces of a variety of front-end processing equipment
End-to-end satellite control including command and telemetry database
Flight table management
For this position domain-area expertise will be prioritized over other experiences
Expected to be a self-starter capable of making decision with overall project budget and schedule in mind
This position can be filled at the Engineer or Principal Engineer level,.
Basic Qualifications:
Engineer
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (ideally Science) with 2+ years of experience; 0 years with a Master’s; 0 years with a PhD; or 8 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree
SW development background, including experience with C, C++, Bash Shell Scripting, Perl, or Python
Strong experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux or other Linux distributions
Self-starter with high proficiency in technical problem solving, to include decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation, and monitoring
Significant experience with design, build, deployment, and aftermarket service of standard commercial software products
Strong experience in producing software architecture documentation
US Citizenship is required for this position
DoD TS required, as well ability to obtain SAP/SCI Clearances
Principal Engineer
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (ideally Science) with 5+ years of experience; 3 years with a Master’s; 0 years with a PhD; or 8 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree

Salary Range: $73,400 – $110,000
Salary Range 2: $90,400 – $135,600
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
