Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Staff Data Scientist based out of Salt Lake City, UT .
Roles and Responsibilities:
Create deep partnerships with stakeholders, exhibiting cross functional empathy and a commitment to shared success.
Turn data into insight with appealing, interactive, and responsive dashboards.
Illuminate and explain trends and anomalies.
Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of data sources and data gathering techniques.
Create and maintain data pipelines to operationalize data update.
Lead the SLC site Data Community of Practice (CoP)
Lead site activities in support of the Digital Transformation Office (DTO) factory of the future objectives
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor’s in a STEM related field with 14 years of experience; Master’s with 12 years of experience; PhD with 9 years of experience.
Experience with Tableau development or similar data application development.
Experience with SQL (structure query language) and relational databases.
Experience with g raphic design background, creating user interfaces, and user focused dashboards .
Excellent communication skills and customer facing experience.
Proven ability to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
US Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science degree in Computer or Software Engineering.
Experience and/or certifications in various advanced technologies such as Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Simulation Software/Applications, etc.
Tableau Certifications (Data Analyst, Desktop or Server) and extensive experience
Experience with software development and deployment
Experience with developing and deploying applications.
Experience managing databases, data structures, data governance.
Experience with common data science toolkits such as Python/R
Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Salary Range: $153,000 – $229,400
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
