SSSD has an opening for a Staff Data Base Architect (Level 5) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located at our Space Park facility in Redondo Beach, California.

The Staff Data Base Architect will report to the Manager of Program Control under Business Management to Design, model, document and guide the logical and conceptual relationship of data and database changes for complex applications. This role also requires the incumbent to analyze needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems, and develops technical, structural, and organizational specifications and may create standards and/or do modeling to monitor and enhance capacity and performance.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Design, develop, and maintain a scalable ETL pipeline.

• Design, model, document, and guide the logical and conceptual relationship of data and database changes for complex applications

• Analyze needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems

• Develop technical, structural, and organizational specifications

• Create standards and/or do modeling to monitor and enhance capacity and performance

• Design for relational and columnar databases such as SQL Server

• Develop data specifications (technical, structure and organization);Planning, Programming, Budgeting and/or Execution DoD processes

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematic (STEM) field with 14+ years of experience in database development, administration, OR Master’s Degree with 12 years of stated experience

• Ability to Obtain Top Secret (TS) security clearance or access to Special Compartmentalized Information (SCI)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experienced with SQL Server

• Knowledge of MPM and/or COBRA

• Active TS Clearance and/or SCI Access

Salary Range: $146,000 – $219,000

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
