About the role
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and pro-active Student Support Manager (Financial and International Student Support) to join are our award-winning Student Support Services Team. In this role, you will lead and develop a range of high quality and responsive support services for students in the areas of student funding and financial advice, financial capability and international student support. You will strategically plan and monitor service delivery and effective use of resources, oversee professional practice and compliance, and evaluate and develop services and related business processes. You will work collaboratively across the university shape strategy and service provision to enhance the student experience, as well as contributing to process and policy change and leading new support initiatives.
With excellent people skills you will have the ability and experience to lead and motivate a diverse team and develop excellent working relationships across services and externally. You will have experience of leading a student facing support service ideally in the area of student financial support / international student support and an excellent understanding of the related regulatory frameworks and systems.
A proven ability to plan strategically as well as focus on operational detail is key as are strong organisational and influencing skills. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to improving services and outcomes for students and the ability to work flexibility and creatively to ensure our services are agile and responsive to changing demands and strategic priorities.
