Job overview
The post holder will be a proactive role model who leads in the clinical environment on the provision of clinical education and assessment of competence in critical care. They will play an essential role in the implementation and management of medical devices to ensure consistent safe and optimal use. As a medical devices trainer the post-holder will additionally be a source of advice for clinical staff. The post holder will be responsible for formal teaching within the Critical Care mandatory training days and also informally within the clinical area.
Main duties of the job
They will ensure the workplan for medical devices training is implemented and achieved in a timely manner and will write competencies & lesson plans for Critical Care specific equipment.
The post holder should be a registered nurse with a degree in nursing or health related studies. They should have completed post registration education in Critical Care together with a mentor /assessor qualification. They should have recent experience in Critical Care and teaching experience.

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
