Working for our organisation
Shared Governance is the leadership model and culture which Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) is aiming to achieve in all areas over the coming years. At NUH we define Shared Governance as:
“Where staff have collective ownership to develop and improve practice; ensuring patients receive caring, safe and confident care. It places staff at the centre of the decision-making process and sees managers having a facilitative leadership role”
At present, NUH is home to the most advanced model of Shared Governance of any UK hospital and has won two national awards for the achievements of staff members involved. In order to ensure the Trust delivers this important commitment, the successful candidate will work alongside other team members and with the direct support of the Practice Development Lead, Clinical Lead for Shared Governance and Inclusive Leadership and the Institute of Care Excellence team.
