Novartis Looking for Field Medical Lead – New Zealand at Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand Full Time

As Field Medical Lead you will be providing medical and scientific expertise across multiple therapy areas with a strategic focus to enhance engagement by early focus in the drug development cycle. You will be delivering exceptional impact by driving our vision and shaping the future of medicines in New Zealand. Reporting into our Head of Medical you will be joining a diverse, vibrant and close-knit team who value collaboration and teamwork.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Prepare and execute the integrated product strategy plans in collaboration with other functions.
• Co-design patient access and brand strategy with the cross-functional team.
• Identification of opportunities for network and partnership with medical community.
• Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure key medical insights are provided in a timely manner
• Build and maintain strong relationships with medical experts and, more broadly, the medical community through key strategic medical activities
• Set up and deploy medical educational activities in line with medical experts’ educational and clinical needs to support quality use of medicines in priority therapeutic areas
• Recommend and suggest innovative tools to support patient understanding /proper usage of products.
• Therapeutic area training to cross functional colleagues and field teams as agreed
• Promotional review as appropriate

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• MD degree or PhD will be highly regarded, but is not essential
• Minimum 3+ years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills both internally within the business and externally along with outstanding presentation skills
• Excellent planning and organisation skills (particularly for congresses/educational events) with a positive, self-motivated approach
• High business agility
• Ability to maintain the highest degree of integrity, represent the company’s high ethics, moral behavior, and professionalism
