Novozymes OneHealth in Cork is an established global pioneer in discovery, development and commercialisation of proprietary probiotic products for human health. Utilising an impressive portfolio of probiotic strains, you’ll be supporting the development of new and improved probiotic finished formats for the fast-evolving human health care industry. Reporting to the Product Development Manager or delegate, the successful candidate will support the day-to-day efficiency of the lab and Research Associates in key development projects.

We are a high-energy team with diverse backgrounds on a mission to develop solutions within gut and oral health aimed at the consumer care space. We focus on probiotic- and enzyme-based solutions and drive development based on strong scientific hypotheses and identified consumer demand.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:

• Support the probiotic final product development and innovation experiments.
• Support analytical analysis of samples (including CFU, water activity, tablet testing etc).
• Support qualification and maintenance of lab equipment.
• Day-to-day responsibilities for efficient laboratory management and functioning.
• Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety regulations within the lab.
• Other support as needed.
• Maintaining accurate records of laboratory work.

Potentially relevant experience:

• Batchelors Degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Food Science or other relevant science degree.
• Minimum of 1 years microbiology lab experience.
• Experience with Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria is desirable.
• Be a team-player with good inter-personal skills and a constructive attitude.
• Must possess good communication (written & verbal), excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Experience using Office (Excel, word, outlook etc).
• Note: You must be eligible to work in Ireland (Stamp 4 or citizen).
