Every childhood is worth fighting for. This is our belief and what drives us.
Digital technology has become a crucial part of the way in which the NSPCC can influence those individuals who affect a child’s life and help keep children safe. As part of an ambitious new Digital Strategy, we are looking to recruit a Head of Digital Products who will be accountable for overseeing the development and delivery of the strategy and roadmap for digital products to achieve agreed service delivery outcomes and financial objectives.
Responsibilities of the role include coordinating with Technology & Data teams, business SMEs, and financial stakeholders to set priorities, managing new digital product development and operations, and providing direction and oversight to product teams as these are further extended and developed across the Society. This role calls for an outcome focused individual with a strong grounding in technology and product development, and significant experience working in a senior position.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Technology & Data you will be tasked with a Society-wide remit in the creation of high-quality, inclusive, and seamless user experiences for supporters, volunteers, and our staff by optimising the functional experience. In this role, you will apply user-centred design principles and techniques to our UX, SX, CX and Digital Channels, and build out and partner with the development-, Communications-, Income Generation- and Services teams to inform and improve solution design. You will also represent the end user and the outcomes required by the Society, representing our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy through using and developing technology that enables the creation of a more inclusive and accessible experience for our people, volunteers, and supporters.
Join us and you’ll become part of a team that cares about the work they do and the people they work with. You’ll discover opportunities to grow, along with challenges and a shared purpose that’ll bring the best out in you. And you’ll get to find your own way to make a difference and impacts millions of young lives.
As an organisation, we are committed to creating and fostering a culture that promotes safeguarding and the welfare of all children and adults at risk. Our safer recruitment practices support this by ensuring that there is a consistent and thorough process of obtaining, collating, analysing and evaluating information from and about candidates to ensure that all persons appointed are suitable to work with our children and adults.
