The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a React/UI Developer, temporary full time role upto 30th June 2024 within SCATS division. This role utilises modern technologies to develop user-centric and visually appealing user interfaces for Sydney Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System (SCATS), assists with automated testing and build pipeline.

Your role will include:

• Develop highly usable, user centric web-based products translated from flat designs and wireframes, collaborating with UI/UX designers where required.
• Utilise modern unit test and automation test frameworks to ensure high code quality.
• Undertake code review and analysis activities to ensure that developed code is robust, secure and re-usable
• Apply innovative and up-to-date user interface design techniques to make the user’s interaction as simple and efficient as possible.
• Extensive collaboration with business analysts and testers
• Assist in design, selection and implementation of development environment and tools (CI/CD). Assist in deployment of component packages and applications in production, and post implementation support.
• Actively participate in SCRUM activities/ceremonies

About you

To be successful in the role

• 3+ years demonstrated commercial experience developing large scale web apps using React
• HTML, CSS/LESS/SASS
• Extensive experience using unit test and automation testing frameworks such as Jest, Jasmine, Cypress, etc
• Experience working within a CI/CD devops environment
• Sound working knowledge of SCRUM Agile ways of working
• Demonstrated proficiency and experience in engaging and translating business stakeholder requirements to deliver User Interface (UI) and/or Web Design end-to-end solutions in line with technology policies and standards.
• Experience of working collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders and delivery organisations’ to achieve agreed outcomes
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 8 ($120,423.00 – $134,872.00) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.??
