TfNSW’s IT group provides the tools, information and services that enable 30,000 employees to deliver a smart and efficient transport network. The opportunity
Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for an Integration Developer to join us in Data Systems & Integration team and provide design, develop, implement, and support new or modified operational technology and data products, employing microservices solutions.
As an Integration Developer you will:
Create a scalable framework around building and maintaining API’s and integrations in MS Azure.
Provide technology architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for one or more technology domains.
Have experience in .Net and/or other programming languages, databases like Combo DB, MS SQL and scripting languages preferably Python.
Define and implement standard processes and procedures for managing data integration and data exchange models between systems on-premise and cloud systems, including security, traceability, audit, performance, and risk.
Develop integration solutions, including REST APIs, Event Driven/Queue based integrations and service orchestrations.
Assist with integration solutions planning, liaise with relevant application experts and contribute to solution design.
Liaise with solutions architects, business analysts and other developers to ensure all deliveries are supported by the correct architectural implementation.
Support teams with planning, scoping, and creating technical solutions for new product capabilities through continuous delivery to production.
Develop and maintain all phases of the application/data integration process throughout the product life cycle to include the assessment, PoC, design, code, debug, test, defect resolution, documentation, and maintenance processes.
Design and develop efficient, compatible, and secure custom applications to deliver complete and highly reliable applications and improve end-user experience.
Assist developers by determining which tools, APIs, design patterns, and best practices to use.
Provide internal consulting that supports the technology needs of other departments.
Contribute constructive feedback of source code during code reviews.
Recommend and maintain development processes and standards for custom applications to ensure efficiency, security, and high-quality output.
Implement, integrate, interface and maintain third-party applications where appropriate, including communication with contractors and vendors.

About you
Ideal candidates will have 6+ years of experience working as a System Integration (application & data) Developer.
Demonstrated experience in MS Azure APIM/APP gateway, network model to configure infrastructure as per the design.
You will have:
Experience in large and complex system integrations with data and data modelling principles.
Experience in developing functional and non-functional requirements for business solutions.
Experience in Cloud especially MS Azure, Azure Databricks, MS SQL, Cosmo DB, Python, Azure Synapse, Azure logic Apps and Functions, Azure
DevOps, Azure Service Bus, Event Hub, MQ. Knowledge of networking fundamentals, Data ingestion techniques.
Data integration experience is essential.
Salary and Benefits
This position is a Transport Award Grade 7 ($106,086 – $118,816) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
