We are looking for two Software Engineers to join our global R&D and Group Services Team on a permanent position. These roles are open to developers of intermediate to expert level of experience from Sydney or Melbourne.

The SW Engineers design, develop and test software systems, modules or applications for software enhancements and delivery of new services and application in the cloud.

They take holistic views of software application environments including application orchestration, databases, messaging and cloud-native services. They take responsibility for the end-to-end solution utilizing DevOps tools and embracing a DevOps culture for the continuous improvement of the software solutions.

Working at NTT

• Work on Digital Platform architecture and development. Adopt automation and technologies that fast track and refine the digital transformation process of clients and drive growth of business.
• Design and develop the Digital Fabric components that form the Integrated Services platform to produce robust, scalable and secure infrastructure and micro-service orchestration.
• Design and develop software applications and micro-services. Work with APIs, telemetry data and run ML/AI algorithms; based on both structured and unstructured data.
• Participate in Agile Software Development with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
• Construct Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and use automation tooling for the rapid provisioning of the Digital Fabric and continuous delivery of software applications.
• Perform software engineering, implement and review test-driven code with comprehensive automated testing.
• Liaise with colleagues to implement technical designs and partake in peer reviews throughout the software development.
• Conduct prototypes for multi-vendor infrastructure, establish best practices for cloud migration and showcase it internally or externally to clients.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and enhancement of existing software applications, ensuring the reliability, availability and security of the systems.
• Write, update and maintain the technical program, end user documentation and operational procedures.
• Conduct research into new products, technology advancements and enhancements within software engineering.

What will make you a good fit for the role?

• Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture and services in multiple public clouds like Microsoft Azure, AWS and GCP.
• Fluent in interpreted programming languages such as Node.JS, Python, Go, Ruby, etc.
• Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions such as Visual Studio, SQL Server, JavaScript, Angular and C# .NET.
• Foundation in data structures, algorithms and software design with strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Expertise with SQL and no-SQL datastores including Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Cosmos DB.
• Expertise with message brokers and services including RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, Azure Service Bus and Event Grid.
• Good understanding of micro services-based software architecture and experience with API product development.
• Expertise with container orchestration and run time (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Ability to contribute to a DevOps culture with strong understanding of CI/CD tools and technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI, Argo CD, Jenkins, etc.
• Ability to work within an Agile team with good understanding of Agile Software Development frameworks and best practices such as SAFe and SCRUM.
