Nucor Environmental Solutions Hiring For Asbestos Abatement Worker – Vancouver at Vancouver, BC Full Time

Nucor Environmental Solutions Ltd. is looking for energetic, motivated and career-minded Asbestos abatement workers for selective interior demolition and abatement work on jobsites throughout the Vancouver area.

Through the regular course of job duties, the abatement worker will be required to operate a variety of hand and power tools, and various forms of machinery relating to the construction industry. Responsibilities will include the cleaning and preparation of work-sites, cleaning up rubble and debris, performing soft demo and removal of waste materials. Successful candidates must be able to safely lift 30 pound bags.

Requirements:
Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada. Successful candidates must be clean-shaven. Individuals must have their own CSA-approved steel-toed boots, all other PPE is provided. All duties of the abatement labourer are to be performed according to NES’s operating procedures and OH&S Regulations in order to maximize the safety of all personnel at the work site and to efficiently perform the task.

Abatement/construction experience is preferred, but training is provided and experience is not mandatory.

Abatement Foreman

Nucor Environmental Solutions is actively looking for site foremen in Edmonton, AB areas. Foremen will act as the main contact for all field personnel and for all materials and tools in the yard. Site Foremen are responsible for overall safety on site. Qualified applicants must have a minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience in the hazardous materials abatement industry.

Site foremen are responsible for ensuring that abatement work is undertaken in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities will also include reporting on activities to the General Superintendent, maintaining the site to ensure workplace safety, inspection of materials and equipment to ensure proper working condition, and efficiently storing all materials. Other responsibilities will include the scheduling, tracking and coordination of materials delivery, management of resources, and the maintenance of accurate records with performance reviews.
