Reports to the Director, Product Stewardship & Regulatory Affairs.
Key Responsibilities
Provides leadership, strategic alignment and direction to employees within
the Chemistry Registration team.
Includes coaching, development, performance and assessments, overseeing
new employee on boarding and providing career planning and opportunities
Cross functionally supports product life cycle needs related to new product
registration, regulatory maintenance and compliance in the USA and Canada of
Nutrien related Chemistry & Adjuvant products including but not limited to
Nutrien Ag Solutions, Loveland Products or entities partially or wholly
acquired by Nutrien and its subsidiaries where relevant
Collaboratively develops the annual registration work plan for Nutrien
chemistry products including, but not limited to planning, budget,
internal approval, implementation, timelines, tracking and follow-up
Manages application processes for the registration of new active compounds and
end-use products, including research permits, arrangement and monitoring
laboratory and field studies, certificates, documents and dossiers
according to the regulations of each country
Actively engages with internal and external stakeholders working with
Federal, State and Local agencies to resolve technically or other
regulatory/registration issues
Forecasts, evaluates and communicates risk related to new
regulatory/registration requirements as well as enhancements and changes
impacting Nutrien
Monitor and respond to legislation for chemical and biological crop protection
products, nutritional/fertilizers and adjuvants to anticipate regulatory
changes and proposed actions that may affect Nutrien products and/or
chemistry registrations
Coordinate activities required to advance Nutrien chemistry registrations
including internal teams such as registration team leaders, sales,
fulfillment, customer service, legal & compliance, accountability,
manufacturing facilities, QA labs, and externally such as third-party
customers, registration consultants, laboratories, regulatory authorities
Oversees the development, maintenance and compliance of relevant documents
related to all internal stakeholder groups
Supports the development of relevant company policies and/or programs to
ensure compliance with relevant government regulations &/or company best
practices including auditing and reporting, and related employee training
Oversee licenses, company permits and authorizations of chemistry Nutrien
entities, required to comply with registration, importation and
distribution activities
Protect confidential data, proprietary business information and documents
generated for manufacturing and product registration purposes
Actively participates in industry working groups, associations and task forces
Supports Nutrien Product Stewardship and SH&E initiatives, safety
training, and other related requirements
Supports employee training and development in regulatory and registration
policies or procedures
Supports the Director, Product Stewardship as needed
Qualifications
BA/BS in scientific discipline
8 plus years of registration and compliance experience including working with
product registration, compliance and government agencies
Experience in agriculture business related, regulatory work or other
relevant experience is preferred
Skills

operational teams as well as how to functionally add value to the life cycle
process

Compensation & Benefits:
SalaryRange $97,760 – $134,420.Actual salary and benefits may differ
based upon location.
