Reporting to the Manager, Communications NPK, the Advisor, Communications NPK will support and coordinate proactive and reactive communications for our Nitrogen, Phosphate and Potash (NPK) business units and shared operational support functions such as Safety, Health, Environment; Wholesale Sales; and TD&L. This team member will play a key role in developing and communicating stories from our operational business units, often transforming technical information into compelling and clear messages connected to our global strategy. This position is located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, or Loveland, Colorado, United States and is available for hybrid work arrangements.
What you will do:
Internal employee communications – Story mine, plan, develop and edit engaging communications for internal employee channels such as our intranet, email memos and digital site screens
Internal event support – Assist in the planning and/or communications of NPK employee events (such as town hall meetings), developing materials as required
External communications – Develop compelling content about NPK aligned to Nutrien’s global editorial strategy for external audiences
Social media – Develop and curate engaging content for our owned social channels
Media relations coordination – Support proactive NPK media relations activities as required such as building and maintaining targeted media lists and drafting pitches
Communications measurement – Support the compilation, maintenance, and analysis of stakeholder communications performance reports
Provide on-site support for communications related activity (filming, photography, media tours) at Nutrien’s NPK mines and facilities in North America
What you will bring:
3-5 years of experience in communications, preferably for a global, publicly traded company
Bachelor’s degree in related field such as Communications, PR, Marketing, Business or related field from an accredited college or university
Understanding of communications best practices, planning and execution
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively depending on the project
Experience supporting and collaborating with multiple stakeholders, preferably in an operational setting
Excellent curiosity, learning capacity and independent decision-making ability
Excellent social media acumen and up to date on emerging social trends
Creative social media content creation experience ideal, but not required
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Flexibility with the ability to adjust to shifting priorities
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range $ $60,800 $83,600. This range is estimated for a Senior Manager, HR Shared Service Center in Loveland, Colorado. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our plan(s), which provide discretionary award opportunities reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
