NYU Langone Health System Hiring for Postdoctoral Fellow at Manhattan, New York Full Time

The Postdoctoral Affairs and the Office of Science and Research at NYU Grossman of School of Medicine, seeks applicants for the Scholar to Faculty Pathway Program. The Scholar to Faculty Pathway Program aims to increase the number of clinical and basic science researchers from underrepresented communities in science, as defined by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), who attain faculty positions at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.

The program is part of efforts to foster an academic culture that is as diverse and inclusive as New York City-a place where people from different backgrounds and disciplines can collaborate with one another, achieve educational and career milestones, and discover new and innovative ways to improve healthcare. Postdoctoral fellows who are selected for this program receive culturally relevant mentoring and support, additional funding, and opportunities to connect with a cohort to support their transition from being a postdoctoral fellow to potentially becoming a faculty member. The goal of the program is to prepare participants to become successful principal investigators (PIs).

Required Qualifications:

• Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree before September 2020 or expect to complete a doctoral degree before September 2024.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Scholarship in the areas of virology, translational neuroscience, genetics, data science and cancer research.
• Interest or experience with clinical research and/or large multi-site trials.
