NZ Customs Looking for Corporate Services Officer – Auckland at Auckland City, Auckland Full Time

The New Zealand Customs Service is seeking a Corporate Services Officer to support the Corporate Services team based in Auckland. This role is a permanent full-time position, reporting to the Team Leader Northern, Corporate Services.

As a Corporate Services Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality services and administrative functions as required by Customs. Ideally you’ll have previous experience in a customer-focused role where your professional attitude, calm manner and sound judgement, ensure quality standards are maintained.

Key responsibilities to this role will be:

• Purchasing goods and services, including obtaining quotes, purchase order preparation and goods receipting;
• General motor vehicle fleet maintenance;
• Uniform ordering, issue and recording duties;
• Mail and courier distributions;
• Arranging building services repairs and maintenance;
• Security system maintenance and programming;
• Staff and visitor passes and security access cards issue;
• Undertaking general administrative tasks.

As a Corporate Services Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality services and administrative functions. (*) A New Zealand Citizen or New Zealand Permanent Resident who has resided continuously in New Zealand for the last 5 years and resides in NZ at time of application;

OR a New Zealand Citizen or New Zealand Permanent Resident who has resided in New Zealand for the last 5 years and resides in NZ at time of application, but may have been absent from New Zealand for periods of six or more months within the past five years, preferably in one or more of the following countries: either Australia, Canada, UK or the USA. You will be required to provide overseas police certificates for these periods spent outside of New Zealand.
