The New Zealand Security Association (NZSA) is the largest industry representative body for the security industry in New Zealand. Representing over 85% of the industry by revenue, our voluntary members include security companies ranging from sole traders to large multi-nationals. About the role

If you are wanting to help out in your local community and are comfortable communicating with a diverse range of people, then this might be the career for you. In the current climate we are needing confident individuals who can adapt quickly to ever changing environments.

Previous experience not required – new entrants are highly encouraged to apply.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Strong work ethic
• Clean criminal record
• Ability to work irregular shifts (the industry operates 24/7)
• Reasonable fitness
• Good, clear written and spoken English
• Confidence with speaking to a diverse range of people
• Confidence working alone
• A NZ driver’s license and your own reliable transport
• A Permanent Resident or Citizen of NZ
• You must be at least 18 years old to hold a COA

At the NZSA we can help you to secure work with our members who are well known security companies in New Zealand. If you are successful in securing full time (minimum 30 hours per week) employment with one of them, we can pay and apply for your Certificate of Approval (‘COA’ or Security License).^*
