Operations Manager (Morrinsville based)
Our Story
We are a privately owned and operated, family orientated group of transport companies who specialise in cartage of Stock Feeds, from Raw Material Stores & Feed Mills to Farms throughout New Zealand. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to lead and manage our Waikato, BOP and Taranaki based teams.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Managing Director and Owner, you will be leading a team of despatchers and drivers. This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven performer who has a passion for people management and customer service excellence.
You know how to inspire not only through doing things right, but by also doing the right things. You will confidently challenge the status quo to further develop and nurture a positive culture focussing on business excellence and positive people culture in order to provide an exemplary level of customer service.
You will drive cost-consciousness throughout the business, identify improvements and manage customer problems and concerns as they arise. You may be required to assist in despatch from time to time.
You will also lead the maintenance requirements of a fleet of truck and trailer units while driving health and safety, quality, food safety, regulatory compliance and HPMV across your fleet and teams. You will conduct reporting and analysis to help make strategic and operational decisions.
