OCG Consulting Ltd Looking for Electrician at Auckland Full Time

The Company:

Our client, a global multinational brand leading the vertical transport sector, is seeking an experienced Service Technician/Mechanic to join their field team, servicing their Wellington portfolio of clients.

The Role:

The successful candidate will perform scheduled routine preventative maintenance as well as be the face of the business when troubleshooting breakdowns and callouts by the client to minimize service callbacks.  The role requires working at heights and confined spaces, so a strong health and safety focus is paramount as is your ability to nurture the client-provider relationship as you represent the business brand at all times when on the client’s premises.  Being rostered for some weekend callouts is a requirement of the role too.  There will also be some overnight travel involved to New Plymouth, Hawkes Bay and Palmerston North.

What you need:

Ideally you would have been an elevator industry field professional, familiar with the suite of products within the elevator, escalator and moving platform industry and be familiar with relevant industry and construction codes within the NZ framework. Your hands-on background in mechanical fitter or electrical trades will be highly regarded. You may have overseas experience and we welcome applications from candidates who have worked on a variety of lifts, elevators and escalators, however you should be currently living in New Zealand to be able to attend an in-person interview at short notice to be shortlisted.
