The Full Stack Engineer is an integral member of the Digital team, working closely with all members of the team and the broader business stakeholders to ensure we deliver best-in-class digital experiences across all our digital assets and customer touchpoints. Working in an agile environment you have zest to learn and deliver quality code. On a day to day basis the Junior Software Engineer will actively contributing to the continuous improvement of our technical delivery and participating in the agile processes while positively contributing to discussions and team dynamics. The Junior Software Engineer is responsible for delivering high quality applications, automation and testing code in accordance with industry best practice and OFX guidelines.

What you will do:

• Ensure that our capability and expertise continue to evolve by proactively taking part in every day stand ups and scrum meetings while being part of collaborative working environment
• Ensure code is efficient and adheres to OFX coding standards and guidelines and industry best practices
• Actively contribute and improve the engineering standards, while adhering to guidelines on unit and integration tests
• Display a passion for learning and working collaboratively
• Be able to effectively provide and constructively accept feedback from team members
• Participate in Agile inception phases, contributing to user stories, story estimation and prioritization
• Meet timelines and delivery commitments made by the team, escalating issues early when they impede progress
• Supporting and ensuring the successful running of our client’s production environments including working with the help desk to diagnose and resolve issues when appropriate
• Maintain consistent and constant communication with stakeholders

What you bring:

Qualifications:

• Tertiary level IT/computing qualification
• Fresh IT/Computer science graduates welcomed.

Knowledge, skills, experience:

• 1+ years’ experience working in full stack engineer role desirable.
• Experience with.NET (Core and Framework) desirable
• Experience working and designing using modern Javascript specifically ReactJs,
• An understanding and passion for engineering fundamentals within a DevOps culture
• Excellent understanding of Agile development methodology and development practices such as TDD, Kanban, Lean, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in distributed source control system (Git) desirable
