Position Summary:
Responsible for daily oversight of a team that coordinates activities associated with the contracting and execution of work to support Power Supply projects. To assure maximum productivity and adherence to appropriate safety standards and contract scopes of work during execution. Supervise and lead activities to ensure company goals and objectives are met, providing safe reliable and efficient electric service to our customers.
Primary Duties:
Responsible to promote a safety culture by leading, modeling and coaching behaviors consistent with IIF (Incident and Injury Free). Ensure weekly and monthly safety meetings are held; Monitor to ensure all members complete compliance training/certifications. Review and approve incident investigations and ensure that action items are completed in a timely manner.
Fostering a partnership with contractor leadership and safety to develop an expectation that all incidents are preventable.
Plan and manage the Construction Coordinators to ensure maximum utilization of time/resources; Ensure Construction Coordinator workforce is optimized.
Review/approve time as required by policy.
Ensure effective collaboration and coordination between Contractors, Project Managers, Outage Managers, Plant Maintenance, and Plant Operations and other groups (e.g., UTS, Supply Chain, T&D)
May assist with coordination of contractors during emergency outage situations (ICS).
Manage performance and development of members; Lead, motivate, coach, develop, and influence others positively while fostering a team environment; Provide constant feedback to team members on their current level of performance and opportunities to improve.
Responsible for the overall performance of contractors as it relates to quality, complaints, adherence to scope/schedule and OG&E standards.
Responsible for the contractor performance review process.
Review and may need to investigate contractor invoices.
Support and initiate the release of Power Supply contractors based on demand and performance as it relates to Power Supply projects.
Conduct performance discussions with members and contractors when performance is not meeting requirements.
Responsible for supporting and reviewing department budget.
Make decisions and communicate information as required by policies, procedures, and business plan.
Ensure documented communication between Construction Coordinators and all project stakeholders is delivered throughout the project to ensure a clear understanding of responsibilities and requirements.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED And 7 years of experience in a construction or technical field; Or
Prior military service for at least one enlistment as documented on DD Form 214 (AND) 6 years of experience in a construction or technical field.
Must have 2 years of experience leading individuals or teams (OR) 2 years of utility construction coordination experience.
Valid State Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated leadership in IIF (Incident and Injury Free) culture.
Demonstrated strong knowledge of project execution and standards.
Working knowledge and ability to identify and follow Standards Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP’s).
Ability to negotiate and work with contractors to resolve complaints in a timely manner.
Knowledge of data analysis, interpreting and analyzing data to make business decisions.
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, coach, develop, and influence others positively while fostering a team environment.
Ability to communicate effectively in speech and writing.
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with team members, leaders, contractors and project stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to adjust and adapt across varied working conditions and evolving business needs.
Demonstrated leadership skills including managerial courage, collaboration and achieve measurable results.
Computer skills with knowledge of MS-Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook) and company software (e.g., SAP), as needed.
Ability to interpret and manage invoices and various financial reports.
Working Conditions:
