OMG National, a 33-year old marketing firm and five-year Inc. 5000 recipient, is seeking a full stack PHP developer. Thirteen years ago, we embarked on an unconventional journey of creating our own CRM software. Looking at the available options at the time, there was simply not an out of box solution to fit our custom needs. As with every software roadmap, we’ve had our bumps and turns, but it’s negligible compared to other firms who have been stagnant and at the mercy of ecosystems that don’t fit their needs. Having in-house developers has provided the company an advantage of customized flexibility to adapt to the world as technologies and client needs evolve and mature. Given our current success with transforming a simple lead management system to a platform that manages the whole company including streamlining our production process, we’re looking to grow as a team. We’re seeking a teammate who is motivated and open minded to help continue our expanding adventure.

A good candidate should be someone who is capable or interested in doing full stack development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, NodeJS) and comfortable with concepts such as REST API, Relational Databases, AJAX, Web Sockets and Object Oriented Programming. Entry level tasks will include debugging, QA, interpreting and modifying existing code. Long term goals will be integrating APIs and building components to extend current functionality. Additionally, with development resources aimed at AI initiatives, we are looking for future-thinking developers with a passion towards streamlining systems through the use of next-generation AI tools.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Work with front end web development, designing and modifying UI/UX to match existing application design.
• Debugging issues and reported bugs, make small updates to legacy code and deploy updates, QA your own as well as other developer’s code.
• Write backend code in PHP to read/write from MySQL, manipulate and work with JSON data to feed into the front end.
• Integrate API’s, extending their external functionality to our application, as well as maintaining existing integrations as previous versions get deprecated.

Qualifications

• A good candidate should be someone who is capable and interested in doing full stack development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, NodeJS) and comfortable with concepts such as REST API, Relational Databases, AJAX and Object Oriented Programming.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, MIS, or Other Relevant Field (or Pursuing Education In) recommended. Alternatively, at least two years of experience in a web-based programming or development environment.
• Critical thinker and good problem-solver with excellent communication skills.

Work Environment

OMG National is a creative environment featuring an eclectic staff of individuals. Our office is headquartered in Davie, Florida, however we are a fully remote company, allowing you to work from home!
