Hours: 40 – 45 hours p/w plus possible opportunities to work Night / Day Shifts

Due to the popularity of classical benchtops and surfaces, Pacific Stone is looking to grow its Polishing / Fabrication and Installation teams in 2023. Ideally, they would like to take on experienced stone manufacturers, however, they are also open to training enthusiastic individuals who are keen to make a career in this busy industry.

Pacific Stone is a leading supplier and fabricator of quality handcrafted surfaces, all made to order from stunning natural and engineered stone and porcelain products. They measure, fabricate, and install beautiful granite, marble, stone, engineered stone, and porcelain for kitchens, bathrooms, fire hearths, reception counters, and a host of commercial spaces. They supply to the commercial and retail business market, building companies, architects, designers, contractors, and kitchen cabinet makers throughout New Zealand, and also sell directly to the discerning homeowner.

These roles involve some of the following tasks: stone selection (granite, engineered stone, marble), cutting, and polishing; operating machinery and hand-held polishing tools, fabrication, gluing stone products, and installation onsite of kitchen benchtops, countertops, and other surfaces made from engineered stone, granite stone, and sintered stone.

Pacific Stone would like an effective team player, who turns up for work, is able to follow instructions, prioritize workload, and is motivated to achieve output deadlines. Our ideal Trainee will be reliable, productive, willing, and able to learn new skills, health and safety conscious, with an eye for detail and quality workmanship, and must be physically fit for these positions
