The Role

In this position you will work with machine learning technology and use it to help customers predict future electrical system conditions, as well as integrating with energy markets to facilitate the sale and purchasing of energy. All of this is done using the latest technologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment at our forward-looking company. Specific on-the-job training will be provided.

Your Impact

• Develop applications to predict load or renewable generation using the latest in machine learning.
• Develop web applications enabling our customers to analyze predict future conditions and monitor complex systems. These applications leverage frameworks like Angular to power responsive web applications.
• Develop applications to interface with and support energy markets across the world.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field.
• Knowledge of computer programming and computer programming practices; Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, GIT.
• Familiarity with platform independent tools and libraries.

Preferred Qualifications/Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in software development or related fields.
• Experience developing interactive web applications using REST, Mongo, SQL.
• Experience with front end frameworks including AngularJS and Angular.
• Experience developing RESTful web services in Java.
• Knowledge of automated unit tests.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
