About the Opportunity :

We are looking for an experienced Frontend Engineer to help us build our next generation of web applications for our customers, merchants and staff.

Working as part of an agile team, you will collaborate with your product manager and fellow engineering team members to deliver product outcomes for our customers.

You will be responsible for applying modern software engineering practices to improve the customer experience and deliver high-quality software. You will actively contribute to our frontend architecture and technology choices to ensure that we are getting the best outcomes for the business, product and team.

How you would contribute to the role :

• Take a customer-focused approach to engineering our web applications
• Write well-structured, clean and testable code
• Use modern frameworks and libraries to ensure we maximise productivity
• Create and maintain automation pipelines to continuously build and push high-quality code
• Strive to develop yourself professionally by broadening your contribution and experience

The bit about you:

• Proficient and capable with TypeScript and JavaScript
• Solid understanding of modern web markup including HTML5, CSS3 and associated technologies (LESS, Sass, styled components)
• Extensive experience with React.js and Redux
• Experience building web applications that leverage REST or GraphQL APIs
• Able to use design tools like InVision, Adobe XD/Photoshop, Sketch
• Able to navigate cross-browser compatibility issues
• Approach your work with a pragmatic and proactive approach
• Desirable; experience delivering frontend applications using AWS services

• At least three years commercial experience as a Frontend Engineer
• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
