Our client is looking for a Senior Backend Node Developer, that has the scope to move into a tech lead position. They are a not-for-profit organisation, that has just had Government funding, for a three year greenfield project. They need a node whizz to come into to lead the backend area of the project. It is an initial 6 month contract, very likely to extend for up to three years.
Technical Must Have’s;
- Node API Development
- Unit testing
- Experience and strong understanding of web application framework
- Understanding of relational database and data modelling
- Typescript
- Javascript
- GraphQL
- AWS
- Restful API’s
- Docker container (desirable)
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain and test web applications across the full development stack, using technologies and practices
- Building systems fit for purpose
- Writing clean code
- Developing and integrating API’s
- Use data to drive decision making
- Work with the delivery manager to support an agile delivery approach
- Delivering to deadlines
- Open minded collaborator with a growth mindset
- Clear communicator who can manage stakeholder expectations
- Builds trust, safety and inclusion in teams
- Identifies and mitigates risks
This is a senior position and therefore require you to have experience in mentoring/leading a team.
