Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle’s solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices and product knowledge. Effectively applies Oracle’s methodologies and policies while adhering to contractual obligations, minimizing Oracle’s risk and exposure. As a position of professional influence, this individual frequently operates at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies enhancements to Oracle products to meet very complex customer needs. Exercises creativity and independent judgment in identifying and resolving major issues and risks impacting project success. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams. As a thought leader and trusted advisor, effectively influences decisions at the leadership level of customer organizations. Ensures customer deliverables are acceptable, and works closely with the customer to understand and manage project expectations. Enables business development efforts by providing subject matter expertise. Manages the scope of medium to large-scale projects, and accounts with varying levels of complexity.
10+ years of experience relevant to this position including 3 years of project management experience. Demonstrated ability to follow solid project management principles and successfully manage projects of increasing complexity. Comfortable working in a matrix management environment. Strong influencing and negotiation skills to deal with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the portfolio focus. Selling skills preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. PMI certification preferred. Ability to travel as needed.

Our Consulting | Professional Services Product Implementation team has an opening for a Senior Project Delivery Director.
This Senior Project Management position provides consistent creative and high quality client-facing project leadership. Employs independent judgment in guiding highly complex activities involved in the successful implementation of an integrated business solution, ensuring project quality and timely delivery within budget to the customer’s satisfaction. Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle’s solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices and systems integration expertise. Effectively applies Oracle’s methodologies, policies, and procedures while adhering to contractual obligations, thereby minimizing Oracle’s risk and exposure.
As a Senior Project Director, you will play a lead role in developing and maintaining the client relationship during all phases of a complex software systems integration project. You will provide executive level leadership and governance over the project and act as Oracle’s single point of contact for the project, leveraging your experience to convey global best practices and lessons learned and liaise with other Oracle Energy and Water customers or engagement teams.
The Senior Project Director effectively influences decisions at the executive and management levels of customer organizations. They resolve escalations and manage complex issues, risks and dependencies across the projects they manage. Project Directors provide oversight and strategic guidance to project delivery, including mentoring and coaching of other less experienced Project Manager(s). Project Directors ensure deliverables are acceptable and work closely with the customer to understand and manage project expectations. Thy support will also support business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions.
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of experience relevant to this position including 5+ years of complex software systems integration project management experience with project consulting budgets in excess of $15M.
5+ year of consulting experience in a professional services or systems integration organization
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
Proven ability to deliver successful Project outcomes
Experience managing multiple project teams
Software Project Management including experience developing work-breakdown structures and project plans, most notably in Microsoft Project.
Excellent client management skills and the ability to work with customers to develop and manage an implementation plan.
Experience managing complex dependencies, risks and issues across multiple projects, client organizations and third parties.
Demonstrated experience in translating customer business requirements into workable world class software solution.
Exceptional escalation management skills.
Experience developing cost estimates for Professional Services efforts, as well as presenting value propositions
Agile Methodology experience preferred
Experience creating and presenting SOW for new and existing customers
Excellent customer relationship acumen, including comfort interacting at the “C” level
Experience delivering presentations
Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and negotiation skills
Consulting and project management experience in a SaaS environment is a plus
PMP or other Project Management certifications is a plus
Six Sigma certification is a plus
Energy or Water Domain / industry experience is a strong plus
This role is an individual contributor, Director level role with no direct reports
