Sells a subset of product or services directly or via partners to a large number of named accounts/non-named accounts/geographical territory.
Primary job duty is to sell technology software products and related services in a defined territory. Identifies, qualifies and closes new opportunities. Manages accounts including the entire sales process from business development prospecting and specifications through contract negotiations, signing, and post-sales support. Leverages the Oracle sales model to maximize revenue growth and increase local market share. Builds and expands business partner revenue and self-sufficiency.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years applicable experience including 7 years of technology sales experience. Ability to forecast, manage sales expenses, and successfully close new Oracle business. Business development, prospecting and presentation skills. Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability. Proven track record of exceeding sales objective and territory/account development. Experience as the focal point for clients for all sales and related issues. Oracle knowledge and/or knowledge of Oracle’s competitors. Travel may be needed. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Responsibilities
Oracle’s National Security Group is looking to hire a Cloud Account Manager who is responsible for the Government accounts. In this role, you will understand Dev/Sec/Ops models and be responsible to provide Oracle IaaS and PaaS solutions to mission critical problems. Primary job duty is to serve as a client advocate for your customer and to identify, qualify and capture Oracle Cloud opportunities. You will also be responsible to manage your territory including the entire sales process, to include business development, prospecting, contract negotiations, and post-sales support. Leverages the Oracle sales model to maximize revenue growth and increase local market share. Builds and expands business partner revenue and self-sufficiency. You will also be working with a cross functional team that includes, capture and business development, software, consulting, and hardware.
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5-7 years field sales experience including technology sales experience, or other applicable experience. Ability to forecast, manage sales expenses, and successfully close new Oracle business. Business development, prospecting and presentation skills. Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability. Proven track record of exceeding sales quota and territory/account development. Experience as the focal point for clients for all sales and related issues. Oracle knowledge and/or knowledge of Oracle’s competitors is helpful. Must have ability and willingness to rapidly learn Oracle Cloud technology. Travel may be needed. Bachelor degree or equivalent. The role also requires either an Active TS/SCI clearance or TS/SCI eligibility.
Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated location(s)
New York City Pay Range: from $120,000 to $223,800 per annum; eligible for commission and equity.
Colorado Pay Range: from $124,300 to $223,800 per annum; eligible for commission and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
