Responsibilities:
As a subject matter expert in manufacturing or supply chain, the Senior Sales Consultant provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to a client’s business. The goal is facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations, demonstrations, and benchmarks.
As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical/functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. You will utilize manufacturing and supply chain subject matter expertise to perform needs gathering and requirement analysis for prospective customers. As a Senior Sales Consultant you will develop and deliver high quality value-based Oracle NetSuite related presentations and demonstrations, articulating advanced product features and benefits. You will be able to provide input to other cross-functional departments pertaining to prospect requests and product enhancements as needed to drive future roadmap functionality items. Sales Consultants are a critical role in our sales organization, and we maintain account and opportunity updates within our internal sales force automation system to prioritize strategic sales engagements.
Skills:
5 years of relevant manufacturing or supply chain Industry experience or relevant presales experience (i.e. Manufacturing, Wholesale Distribution and Retail) with demonstrated understanding of the industry and appropriate acumen.
Experience as an end user or supporting the sales cycle in ERP, MRP and Omnichannel applications preferred.
Prior experience in sales consulting, or software consulting is optimal.
Demonstrated proficiency in multi-user operating system or ERP’s.
Previous application experience as user, implementer, or presales in one or more of the following software providers desired: NetSuite, Oracle e-Business Suite, Microsoft GP/AX/Dynamics/NAV, Epicor, Infor Sytline or SAP.
Proven presentation and interpersonal skills
Proven track record of increasing deal size and accelerating the buying process
Successful quota achievement
Thorough knowledge of system and application design.
Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, value positioning, business justification, closing techniques, presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex business problems with accounts in complex technical environments.
BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
Willingness to travel required
Location: Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit preferred. Flexible, as long as you live close to an airport and willing to travel for client facing meetings and internal events/ trainings, you can work remotely from your home office.
Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
