Seven years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) with extensive Product or Platform development experience with a passion for data. In this role the TPM will work with Oracle Hardware Division’s (OHD) big data and analytics team which is at the heart of driving hardware quality, reliability, and efficiency as well as providing operational insights for impact and root cause analysis. We’re strongly focused on supporting the high scale use cases of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This person will partner with the Product and Engineering teams to collaboratively define, manage, drive cross functional programs that enable the delivery of Oracle Hardware Divisions products and features. The TPM will be responsible for driving impact across cross functional needs/product groups and identify team focus areas.
In this role, the TPM will help shape the long-term and short-term strategy, drive planning/prioritization for the teams supported by providing the needed analytical insight and foresight. Drive the execution of the plans while defining and aligning cross team engagements, bringing clarity and focus and enabling easy flow of information between teams by creating effective communications. The ideal candidate will be able to bring strong thought leadership, technical understanding and execution excellence to major initiatives, core features, resulting in performant and reliable hardware powering Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle On Premise systems.
A day in the life…
Lead iterative delivery of strategic cross-functional initiatives from concept to ship, through focus, transparency, communication, visibility, and accountability.
Manage cross functional dependencies, risks and changes effectively by optimizing scope, schedule, and resources accordingly.
Collaborate with partnering teams to define program requirements, set priorities and establish scope which includes defining the roadmap and long-term/short-term strategy.
Develop and own communication plans to effectively and proactively communicate program status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
Partner with cross functional teams to drive execution all phases of SDLC i.e. analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and post implementation phases.
Define and track key metrics and key quality and performance indicators and drive cross functional execution of program deliverables.
Proactively identify and analyze complex, long-term, hardware quality and reliability problems with engineering leaders and stakeholders.
Guide and manage the usage of agile methodologies to simplify project delivery.
Required Qualifications
A degree in computer science or an engineering background, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of software / hardware engineering, or technical product/program management, or engineering leadership experience.
Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects iteratively with multiple dependencies and constraints, in a dynamic and agile environment.
Maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills.
Proven ability to operate effectively and autonomously across multiple teams in situations of extreme ambiguity, with only high level direction and demonstrate critical thinking, thought leadership.
Able to communicate highly technical problems and solutions at all levels from engineer to partner teams to executive leadership.
Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience.
Strong technical acumen to drive design and architecture discussions with engineering teams.
