We are expanding our CX Innovation Lab team – seeking a Technical Product Manager to help guide, and build, our “art of the possible” demos and content. We are a small, extremely agile, team that works with every CX pillar to help demonstrate not only what our CX products can do now, but also to collaborate to drive new innovation back into our solutions. As a technical evangelism team, it’s our role to advocate for every CX application to all of our audiences – ranging from individual customer opportunities to analyst presentations, oracle.com content to executive keynotes.
The ideal person for this role is a strong individual contributor, skilled at presenting technology solutions to both business and technical audiences, as well as expert at collaborating with other teams to achieve larger goals. You’ll also have pillar experience in Sales, Service and/or Marketing actually using Oracle’s products or competing solutions.
Here is what you can expect on a daily basis:
Story development – 15%: Working with Outbound and Inbound Product Management and our Sales leadership teams to identify the optimal flows, features, and benefit statements to align with strategic sales goals and messaging
Building stories – 50%: working within the products for your focus pillars to configure and build the demo flows we’ve decided upon. Where appropriate, you’ll also collaborate with our design and development teams for build of new features outside of your core products
Content production – 15%: Documenting your work, producing decks and working with the video team to create collateral to enable our global sales teams to tell our stories. Collaborating with our Demo Services teams to propagate and release functional demos.
Special Projects – 20%: Along with our day-to-day tasks, we’ll often get pulled into one-off or special projects to support key events, highlight new functionality, or support key accounts.
Requirements for this position include:
3-5 years of customer-facing storytelling, selling, and/or evangelism work within the Sales, Marketing and/or Service pillars
Exceptional presentation and writing skills
Industry knowledge (telco, high tech mfg, financial services, distribution)
Extensive hands-on experience with either Oracle’s Sales, Marketing and/or Service SaaS solutions – or those of a key competitor
Exceptional messaging skills in both written/oral/presentation communication skills with demonstrated skills in developing and delivering compelling content in keynotes, videos, demos or other high visibility channels
Ability to articulate product / solution value in terms of customer value and impact on their business, employees, customers and partners
Highly organized and self-motivated – our team is home-based throughout North America
A technical mindset that allows you to map requirements to tasks that should be completed inside business user tooling, and a proven ability to execute on those requirementsEducation & Experience: Computer Science degree preferred – and hands-on experience as a developer, technical product manager, and or senior sales engineer
Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
