Manage people for product development programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product or computer-based system through the design process, and into a finished state for external customers. Plan and direct resource schedules as well as project budgets. Monitor the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on technical matters. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the product/program/project on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area preferred. Prefer seven years of project management, product design or related experience.

Responsibilities
As a Director, Program Management, you will be part of the larger Oracle Applications Lab (OAL) team that is responsible for the success of the internal implementations of the Oracle Cloud solutions. Here you will have the opportunity to join our startup team: Product and Planning Center of Excellence (PPCOE) where you will help define, build and lead the standards for a requirements intake process, a business and development prioritization methodology, best practices for engagement and communication, and a process to accelerate innovations to the businesses. If you are a team member, who likes to be part of building the ground floor of this new organization, this position enables potential for high visibility at executive levels.
You will play an integral role in working directly with the OAL Development and global Business leaders in the planning and adoption of the Oracle Cloud Applications. You must have a passion for customer success, bolstered by the project management skills needed to drive and confirm the successful end-to-end delivery of the implementation programs.
We like you to have experience in medium/large-scale implementation projects where you have been able to connect people, products, and technology using Agile methodologies. A large part of your job will be focused on ensuring that planning and communication are aligned with business requirements, development planning, and final delivery. We like you to take pride in your ability to engage, communicate and confirm expectations and provide full transparency to all parties involved in the implementation projects.
Here are some of the areas that you will be responsible for:
Build strong relationships with OAL Development pillar owners and Business Executives, working collaboratively with them to determine business requirements, solution value, priorities, and delivery.
Drive cross-pillar planning and communication to enable a holistic view of solutions and necessary priority trade-offs where needed.
Facility and drive consensus among stakeholders to achieve joint roadmaps.
Manage ongoing expectations throughout the end-to-end delivery to confirm that the requirements are meeting the business needs.
Become a trusted advisor by leading program governance across OAL Development and business teams, resulting in repeatable planning and delivery processes.
Coach people around you to excel in their role, achieving success for all teams.
Collaborate with your colleagues to create thought leadership and find ways to continue to improve the way we plan and deliver.
Help Oracle Cloud continue to grow and lead as the only full stack Cloud provider (IAAS, PAAS, and SAAS)
Preferred Skills and Experience
BS/BA degree required. MS/MBA a plus.
6-10 years of proven program management experience in leading end-to-end success of cloud solutions across products.
Strong communication, organization, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Strong influencing and negotiation skills in working with pillar and business stakeholders to facilitate requirements gathering, set expectations, communicate and ensure continuous expectation alignments.
Comfortable handling challenging meetings with development and business executives.
Experience in working in a matrix management environment.
Strong understanding and implementation experience of Agile methodologies, tooling, and metrics.
Passion for being hands-on, meaning you want to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
Keen interest in learning, creating, building, and analyzing various collaboration methodologies.
A self-starter enthusiast able to track and manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
Flexibility in working across time zones with global teams.
Experience of Agile and Atlassian JIRA/Confluence methodologies.
Experience of SAFe is a plus.
Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Applications is a plus.
