We currently have an opening for a Production Technician to join our team. The Production Technician keeps premises of the shop in clean and orderly condition and completes the orders listed on the Production Schedule by performing the below duties. Starting pay is $17.50/hour or more, compensation commensurate with experience. This position is Monday-Friday 8-5 work schedule with NO weekends.

Job Duties:

• Assembles and installs parts on machines
• Test and video machines
• Modify and fabricate specific machine parts
• Customer support on service calls
• Document and report facilities issues to the Production Manager
• Sweep, and clean shop floor
• Empty wastebaskets in office and shop
• Transport small equipment or tools between departments
• Assist Production Manager and Production Team as needed
• Other duties may be assigned

Job Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent; or one to two years experience with industrial machinery and/or equipment repair and maintenance; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment
• Excellent communication and teaming skills
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to fill out routine reports and correspondence
• Self-motivated; able to work well independently
• Strong work ethic
• Punctual and dependable
• Valid driver’s license required

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision; depth perception; and ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to regularly stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop/kneel/crouch and walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms
