Pāmu™ Looking for General Manager Commercial & Optimisation at Wellington, Wellington Region, New Zealand Full Time

Reporting to Chief Operations Officer, the General Manager Commercial & Optimisation will ensure the business assets, inventory and commercial relationships enable optimal performance across our diverse network of over 100 farms throughout New Zealand and support the General Managers to achieve both regional and national success.

The role will lead a high-performing team of business analysts and asset managers to provide timely information and execute a considerable annual capital maintenance programme. A key focus will be ensuring value stream optimisation across all prime and store livestock (including dairy beef and dairy culls), and that on-farm feed inventory supports regional performance.

The asset management team lead one of Aotearoa’s largest property portfolios with over 800 houses, and includes fleet management, capital planning and execution across the national footprint with a :$30m capital maintenance programme.

The role will lead the Pāmu relationships with all meat processors and collaborate with the CFO team on opportunities for optimised reporting, procurement, and commercial constructs.

About You

We are looking for candidates who have come from a strong finance or commercial background with experience using data and insights to drive operational and commercial optimisation. You will have strong people leadership and experience in leading high performing teams. You bring strong commercial acumen in driving value for commercial partners, as well as a deep understanding of asset management and capital maintenance. Experienced CA, CFA or related qualifications are highly desirable.
