Sounds good, so what’s the role?

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, automating, and maintaining data pipelines using our new multi-purpose data warehouse environment in Azure. You will be joining a highly collaborative team, focused on delivering high quality output. Initially, you will be working on automation and data engineering and, there will be plenty of opportunity to explore data factory, model building, visualisation, and engage with stakeholders.

Great, what will I be doing?

• Cleansing, transforming, and analysing raw data using Azure Data Factory
• Proactively work with team members to continuously improve systems and business processes including documentation and change management
• Help to develop datasets that are high quality, well-modelled, and available where/when needed
• There are many different areas of data and insights, given that we are a small team there will be no shortage of opportunities to delve into them

Ok, what do I need to succeed in this role?

You will definitely need to have:

• Relevant tertiary qualification (IT, STEM, Engineering)
• You will be curious and eager to try new things
• Produce high quality output
• At least 6 months experience as a data engineer or ETL developer
• Experience using SQL (stored procedures) and data factory or similar tools
• Desire to work within cross functional teams
• Based in Brisbane

It would also help if you have:

• Some experience in data analytics and modelling
