Documentation Specialist needed for a personal & business financial institution in Seattle

Location: Onsite in Seattle, WA – Open to Remote/Hybrid
Employment Type: Contract, approximately 3-4 months
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

We see you data collectors, information inspectors, and paper organizers. You may be heads down and seem like the quiet type, when you’re actually observing , unearthing, and navigating documents with a fine-toothed comb. With eyes like a hawk catching discrepancies and missing information, you are the glue that holds the entire company together. As the Documentation Specialist, you are indispensable and the team will heavily lean on your expertise and extensive attention to detail to accomplish speed and efficiency within the loan process.

What you can expect.

• Prepare all necessary audit packages and paperwork; report on all necessary audit results.
• Working across the firm with several different groups including Client Services, Sales, Loan Operations, Portfolio Management, and many others; learn more about the financial services industry while assisting across the team.
• Proactively and regularly increase working knowledge of lending policies and procedures.
• Review inbound packages/documentation to classify by group and recipient
• Use image scanner to scan firm documentation into internal storage system
• Prepare outbound packaging of documentation to multiple external individuals/companies
• Complete on-request, document retrieval, review, and filing projects
• Audit documents, flag errors, check for missing info, reach out to clients to obtain any necessary information to continue processing approvals.

About you.

• Pass a “soft pull” credit check and background check (does not affect your credit score and is required in conjunction with accessing sensitive customer information)
• Steady understanding of MS products; prioritized utilization of Excel and acute awareness to pivot tables, conditional formatting, formulas, etc.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is absolutely required
• Experience in mortgage origination, processing, servicing or shipping is a bonus!
