Parris Mills Looking for ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT at Wiri, Auckland Full Time

This company, based in Wiri, is part of a very large New Zealand group and is involved in the design, fabrication, and installation of steel products used in the building and construction sector.

The new part time position of Assistant Accountant has been created for you to assist with the workload of a busy Company Accountant.

Your role:

• Accounts Payable – process supplier invoices and complete payment runs
• Month end journals and GL reconciliations
• Support the Company Accountant with Accounts Receivable, Inventory, annual Budget, and the year-end audit
• Data entry of bank transactions and daily bank reconciliations
• Support the Accountant with several on-going projects

Skills and experiences requirements:

• Previous experience in AR and AP, as well as with budgets, year end and project work
• Some time spent in a manufacturing organisation would be ideal
• Calm and accurate with a very strong attention to detail
• Very good Excel skills, and experience of using a manufacturing ERP accounting system would be a big advantage
