Job Description:

In this role you will: perform a variety of routine and some non-routine tasks in support of the professional staff within the assigned unit. Work assignments may be in the office and/or at field sites. A willingness to travel and/or to relocate may be expected.

Responsibilities:
Performs routine and occasionally heavy labor tasks related to on-site industrial waste, hazardous waste, field environmental sampling tasks or wastewater treatment operations and maintenance.

May collect samples and maintain documentation in record logs.

Learns to operate trucks, pumps, vacuum equipment, generators, and other machinery equipment. Maintains appropriate logs of activities.

Assists in testing, calibrating, repairing, and modifying control and instrumentation systems at on-site locations.

Assists in preparing required field and office reports of various activities and findings.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications:
High School diploma, or equivalent

2+ years of related work experience

Completion of a 40-hour OSHA training course (with an annual 8-hour update) is required for industrial or hazardous wastewater operations.

Familiarity with fundamental tasks and testing techniques related to operations

Experience with forklifts and skid steers is preferred but not required

Ability to work in extreme weather conditions

Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Walk on uneven surfaces, bend, kneel and climb
