Pathfinder Clean Energy (PACE) Looking for Commercial Analyst at Remote Full Time

PACE is constructing 100MW of projects in Alberta and actively developing new projects in
Canada and internationally and gearing up to own and operate its existing projects as they become permitted. PACE Canada has a pipeline of over 500MW+ in development with intention to target construction in 2023+

We are looking for exceptional candidates to assist on commercialising our current and future pipeline across solar, storage and green hydrogen.

You will learn from a dynamic team with combined experience of over 1GW and 30 years of clean energy experience. The role will be based in Alberta.

Job Title: PACE Canada Commercial Analyst

Position Reporting To: International Finance team (London) and local Alberta based team as required

Start Date: As soon as possible.

Contract Length: Permanent with 3 months notice.

Salary: TBC

Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada

This is a commercial, results-based role with responsibility for delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the PACE financing team to execute debt/equity funding for solar projects currently under construction.

• Supporting the PACE finance team to develop and execute the strategy for carbon, power and other revenue streams and to manage associated local relationships.

• Managing financial model development for solar PV projects and then for additional technologies, e.g. storage, green hydrogen.

• Designing and implementing portfolio management processes for PACE Canada projects as part of PACE’s asset management system and to manage associated local relationships.

• Supporting the PACE Canada project origination and development team by providing high level modelling and commercial support in evaluating the viability of new project opportunities and in the negotiation of key contracts.

• Assisting with PACE to understand impact of and ways PACE can use Investment Tax

Credit in Canada for clean energy for its current and future assets and how timing impacts on the risk/reward re carbon for the end of 2023.

• Advancing green hydrogen projects and business case in Canada including liaising with government and other sources of grant or other funding.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience of working with financial models and taking ownership of these for financing.

• Pro-active and entrepreneurial spirit and ability to take ownership of opportunities and projects as they are sourced.

• Ability to work with PACE IT systems and collaborative tools inc. Google Apps

• Willingness to learn new software and systems

• Basic knowledge of HTML an advantage but not required

• Driving licence and ability to travel nationally and internationally

• Prepared to take additional responsibilities as part of a small team

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to $120,000.00 per year
